Last March, I was part of a group of artists who traveled to Bamiyan and Kabul to learn how carpets are handmade in Afghanistan. When we returned to LA, we designed carpets for weavers to produce. They are now on view at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles until September 27, 2015.
